JBoss SwitchYard est le nouvel ESB lourd de RedHat remplaçant de JBoss ESB dans sa suite SOA Platform 6 dont les développement ont commencé fin 2010.
JBoss SwitchYard est basé sur sur une nouvelle architecture SCA et utilise Camel, CXF, Caraf, Fabric et ActiveMQ.
RedHat a fait le choix de mettre un terme à JBoss ESB, basé sur des composants et une architecture très ancienne qui ne correspondent plus aux besoins du marché, pour le remplacer par une solution se basant sur des composants standards et reconnus dans le monde de l'intégration.
La version 1.0 de switchYard est sortie en août 2013.
