Capistrano is a remote server automation tool. It is mainly used for web application deployment.
Capistrano can natively execute commands in parallel on multiple servers, set up an SSH tunnel to perform roll-outs via forwarding, and supply a broadcast shell connected to each target server.
Many extensions are available in order to manage project specific roll-out needs, such as "Capifony" for Symfony and "Magentify" for Magento.
Capistrano is developed in Ruby. A version 3 is available but some extensions are not compatible with it yet.
Capistrano is distributed under the MIT License.
