From late April to June 2016, the Open Source Innovation Spring will be taking place in Paris, Villetaneuse and Neuilly.

The Open Source Innovation Spring is an event dedicated to the scientific and technological excellence of free and open source software. Launched by Systematic’s Free & Open Source Software (FOSS) Working Group and IRILL (Research and Innovation on Free Software), OSIS aims to demonstrate the international reach of projects derived from French research and innovation. It will be chaired by Roberto Di Cosmo, Vice-president of the FOSS Working Group, Director of IRILL, INRIA Research Director and Professor at Université Paris Diderot.

State of the open source industry

The topics covered will range from software quality to the Internet of Things by way of the cloud, big data and more traditional information systems. The goal of this series of meetings is to help its participants expand their knowledge of key technologies in the digital transformation, discover academic innovation projects and the market’s adoption curves, understand how to apply this knowledge to business issues, and meet with their peers to foster collaboration going forward.
